In anticipation of the centenary of the birth of Joseph Ratzinger-Benedict XVI (April 16, 1927-2027), the Vatican Foundation has established an International Committee for the Centenary Celebrations. The Committee will promote, coordinate, and support targeted scholarly, celebratory, and promotional initiatives, including research, studies, publications, and more, on the work and thought of Joseph Ratzinger-Benedict XVI, as well as a theology inspired by him, one that addresses the challenges of the present while also grasping future developments. This involves not only involving renowned professors, but also promoting the transmission of Benedict XVI's legacy, including the younger generations.
The Committee, established as an international network of scholars, aims to be a space for reflection and a promoter, as well as a collector, of various potential initiatives, which it will support in their conception and planning, as well as through collaboration or even simple sponsorship.
