Opera Omnia: translation in Italian language

DL002817

(12/4/16) The Italian translation of the 7/1 volume of the Opera Omnia of Joseph Ratzinger, “The teachings of the Second Vatican Council”, is coming along and it will be published in November. Moreover, some texts from the ’50s and the ‘60s have been used in their original version in German by Elena Torri for her Ph.D. thesis. It was defended on 26th February 2016 at the Université Libre de Bruxelles and the title was “Le «rivendicazioni». Cristianesimo e ragione nel lavoro di Joseph Ratzinger” (“Les revendications. Christianisme et raison chez Joseph Ratzinger”). In her work, Elena Torri approaches the topic from a historical point of view and she confirms Ratzinger’s dictum through the analysis of the documents. The dictum was addressed to the people who wanted to give Joseph Ratzinger the role of “the repentant” immediately after the Council. “I didn’t change, they changed” he said in 1984 in the famous interview-book “Rapporto sulla fede”, edited by Vittorio Messori.
