(12/2/16) Three Ph.D students and a final year student are doing research on Joseph Ratzinger – Benedict XVI and professor Pierluca Azzaro – executive secretary of the Foundation and officer of Ratzinger’s Library – is their supervisor.

The Ph.D students are working at the Pontifical Oriental Institute of Rome, the Pontifical “Antonianum” University of Rome and the Faculty of Political Science of the Catholic University of Milan. The other student is from the Theology Faculty of the University of Navarra. The following are the topics of their works: “Orthodoxy in Joseph Ratzinger’s theology”, “The genesis and the concept of tradition in Joseph Ratzinger’s theology”, “Joseph Ratzinger-Benedict XVI and the interpretation of Communism”, “Faith and the Pontificate of Benedict XVI”.
