Benedict XVI’s 90th birthday. Conference in Warsaw on the concept of State in his thought

(13/4/17) “Il concetto di Stato nella prospettiva dell’insegnamento del Card. Joseph Ratzinger-Benedetto XVI” is the topic of the conference that will be held on 19th April in Warsaw, at the venue of the Conference of the Polish Episcopate for the 90th birthday of the Emeritus Pope Benedict XVI. The initiative was promoted by the Conference of the Polish Episcopate, the Joseph Ratzinger – Benedict XVI Vatican Foundation, the president of the Polish Republic, the Catholic news agency Kai.

Among the contributors there will be: the archbishop Salvatore Pennacchio, papal nuncio in Poland, Marek Kuchcinski and Stanisław Karczewski, presidents of the Parliament and the Senate of Poland, the minister Małgorzata Sadurska, head of Chancellery of the Polish president, Msgr. Stanisław Gadecki, President of the Polish bishops, Laszlo Kover, President of the Hungarian Parliament, cardinal Gerhard Ludwig Müller, prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, the archbishop of Wrocław , Msgr. Józef Kupny, father Federico Lombardi, president of the Ratzinger Foundation. A message from the president of the German Bundestag, Norbert Lammert, is also scheduled.

Other topics of the conference will be: “Modern State and modern politics in the thought of Pope Benedict XVI” and “The true laity of the State according to Benedict XVI”.
