(12/7/16) The book “Il Sacrificio della Parola. La Liturgia della Messa secondo Benedetto XVI” (Campinas: Ecclesiae, 2016, 332 pages) was published in Brazil. The author, professor Rudy Albino de Assunção, explains the mystagogies of the emeritus Pope on the Eucharistic Celebration in a systematic and commented way, from the sign of the cross to the final blessing, with a particular attention to the Roman Canon.

The presentation of this volume was written by the President of the Joseph Ratzinger – Benedict XVI Vatican Foundation, Msgr. Giuseppe A. Scotti, who stressed that the author “makes us understand a rich route, full of wisdom as the Gospels are, and he simply helps us joining the teachings of Benedict XVI. In that way he explicitly defines Benedict XVI as a master of incomparable importance”. Father Pablo Blanco, professor at the University of Navarra, was in charge of the Prologue of the work, already published in the “Presentation” section of the website.
