Two celebration days in the honour of Benedict XVI in Heiligenkreuz

(31/03/2017) The two celebration days in the honour of Benedict XVI will be held today and tomorrow at the Heiligenkreuz School of Philosophy and Theology in Austria in order to celebrate his 90th birthday. Among the others, the Cistercian abbot of the monastery of Heiligenkreuz Maximilian Heim, the Salvatorian priest father Stephan Otto Horn, coordinator of the Schülerkreis, the group of students of professor Ratzinger, and cardinal Kurt Koch, president of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity will attend the meeting.

The cardinal will give a speech today in the afternoon on the following topic “Una sinfonia di amore e verità nella libertà. Joseph Ratzinger/Benedetto XVI testimone grato della fede pasquale” -  and he will celebrate a thanksgiving Mass tomorrow morning, 1st April. At the end of the celebration, the students will fly 90 white balloons to pay homage to Benedict XVI, to whom the Heiligenkreuz School is entitled.
