A Congress five years after Benedict XVI’s visit to San Marino

(1/6/16) Five years after Benedict XVI’s pastoral visit to the dioceses of San Marino-Montefeltro, cultural events have been organised in order to celebrate the occasion.

On 3rd June, at 9 p.m., there will be a public meeting on the topic “Quale eredità a cinque anni dalla storica visita di Benedetto XVI alla Diocesi di San Marino-Montefeltro?” in the castle of Domagnano, Montelupo hall, in San Marino. After the introduction of the diocesan bishop Msgr. Andrea Turazzi, Msgr. Luigi Negri, archbishop of Ferrara-Comacchio, Msgr. Elio Ciccioni, general vicar of the dioceses of  San Marino-Montefeltro, Maria Luisa Berti and Filippo Tamagnini, Heads of State during the visit, will attend the congress. The journalist Paolo Facciotto will moderate the meeting.

A travelling exhibition with images and words from the most important moments of the visit will be organised. The exhibition will show pictures of the visits to Domagnano, Dogana, San Marino, Pennabilli, Macerata Feltria, Novafeltria. On 19th June a solemn Mass will be held in order to celebrate the event.
