(26/7/16) "Eschatology: analysis and perspectives", the 6th International Congress of high scientific level organized by the Joseph Ratzinger – Benedict XVI Vatican Foundation, will be held at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome, from 24th to 26th November. Eschatology is one of the favoured topics of the theological research made by Joseph Ratzinger. In addition to the contemplation of eschatology in the faith of the Church, two workshops will be held: one on the current themes of eschatology and the other on apocalyptic themes in Judaism.
The speakers of the Congress will be the cardinals Angelo Amato, prefect of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints and member of the Scientific Committee of the Foundation, Kurt Koch, president of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, Gianfranco Ravasi, president of the Pontifical Council for Culture and the professors Paul O’Callaghan, Thomas Söding, Bernardo Estrada, Romano Penna and Maurizio Marcheselli.
