The book has got four chapters. “The first one is a historical excursus about the development of the concept of Petrine primacy in the first elaborations of the fourth century - the author explained -. The second chapter makes reference to the topic of the primacy of Benedict XVI during his eight years of pontificate. Four definitions of the term primacy have been identified: visible guarantee of the unity of the Church in its universality; service; priestly mandate; warranty of protection. The third chapter regards the topic of primacy in Benedict XVI in the specific relationship with Orthodox people. The fourth chapter is about the resignation”.
