POPE FRANCIS AND HIS PREDECESSORS, A SYMPOSIUM TOWORROW IN ROME

(6/6/16) “Pope Francis and his predecessors” is the topic of the International Symposium that will be held tomorrow at the Royal Netherlands Institute of Rome (via Omero 10-12). Organised by Willem Lantik, from the University of Utrecht, it will have a morning and an afternoon session.

In the morning, after the greetings of Harald Hendrix, head of the Royal Netherlands Institute of Rome and Jaime de Bourbon de Parme, ambassador of the Netherlands to the Holy See, there will be the following speeches: “Pope Francis and his predecessors”, “The debate on Pope Francis”, “The Second Vatican Council and the Papacy”. In the afternoon, the relationship between Pope Bergoglio and John Paul II will be analysed and Peter Raedts, from the Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen, will relate on “Francis and Benedict XVI”.
