The Institute of theological and philosophical studies Benedict XVI will be inaugurated today, 30th April, at the Cistercian abbey of Heiligenkreuz. The ceremony will be held by the abbot Maximilian Heim –Ratzinger Prize 2011 – and the apostolic Nuncio in Austria H.E. Msgr. Peter Stephan Zurbriggen. The solemn Pontifical mass by H.E. Cardinal Christoph Schönborn will come first. The Institute will be equipped with an expansive and precious theological library given to the newborn Institute by the “Benediktbeuern” abbey in Bayern, in which salesians established the Institute of Philosophy and Theology for the seminarists of the order in 1930.
